I was watching TV one night when I heard a knock on the window next to me. I thought it was the rain, so I kept watching. Then, I heard a tap tap tap. I wasn't sure what to do. But the tap was friendly, so I pulled back the drapes and saw a funny looking creature.
I screamed and let go of the drapes. The creature made a funny sound and then I heard "tap tap tap ee tap". I held my breath. My heart was beating fast. I turned off all the light but the TV still cast light everywhere. Where is the remote control I wondered as I ducked down behind the couch.
I started scooting back and reached for the nearby blanket when I felt something cold, sticky and like a water balloon under my fingers. I gulped and looked up to see another funny creature with eyes at the end of long tentacles looking at me.
I screamed again, jumped up and ran into the kitchen to find something to protect me. I searched and searched, but could only find a wooden spoon and the spatula lying next to the cookies mom baked from the freezer. I grabbed it, turned around and saw the second creature talking to the other creature outside the window. They put their tentacles up to the window and a light began to glow.
Suddenly, the room lit up with stars and sparks and the creatures vanished! I blinked my eyes two times, three times, four times, but they were gone. With the spatula in hand, I walked closer to the window and saw some slime on it, but nothing else. I looked into the night sky, but it was dark. I turned on the lights in the room, and looked closer at the blanket lying on the floor. I noticed some cookie crumbs. I guess that's why the creature was here. He loves cookies too. I think tomorrow night I'll ask mom to bake some more and leave some by the window.
